Geography
Abaqulusi lies on the Zululand highveld, bordering Mpumalanga to the north-west, with open grassland
around Vryheid giving way to coal-bearing hill country near Hlobane. Within
Zululand District it neighbours
eDumbe, Nongoma,

Population grew from 214,714 in 2011 to 247,263 in 2022, up about 15%. Roughly 63% of residents live
