History
Nyandeni’s villages fall within the former Transkei Bantustan, administered separately from South Africa proper from 1976 until reincorporation in 1994. Geography
Nyandeni lies between the Mthatha and Mzimvubu rivers on the Wild Coast hinterland. It borders King Sabata Dalindyebo, Mhlontlo and Port St. Johns within OR Tambo District, and reaches the Indian Ocean coast near Mngazana.
