Warren County is a county in the U.S. state of Kentucky’s south central region.

The population was 134,554 as of the 2020 census, making it Kentucky’s fifth-most populous county. Bowling Green is the county seat.

Warren County is now classified as a wet county, thanks to voter approval in 2018.

The measure, which allows the sale of alcohol throughout the county, became law in January 2019.

Warren County is part of the Bowling Green, KY Combined Statistical Area.

It’s in the Pennyroyal Plateau and Western Coal Fields areas.

The county has a total area of 548 square miles (1,420 km2), of which 542 square miles (1,400 km2) is land and 6.0 square miles (16 km2) (1.1%) is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
