Lindi Region (or Mkoa wa Lindi in Swahili) is one of Tanzania’s 31 administrative regions. The region has an area of 66,040 km2 (25,500 square miles).
The region is roughly the same size as Sri Lanka’s entire land area. The municipality of Lindi serves as the regional capital.
The Lindi Region shares boundaries with the Pwani, Morogoro, Ruvuma, and Mtwara regions.
