Geita Region (or Mkoa wa Geita in Swahili) is one of Tanzania’s 31 administrative regions.
The region has an area of 20,054 km2 (7,743 square miles).”Geita Region Size” .
The region is about the same size as Slovenia’s entire land area.
Lake Victoria, Mwanza Region, and Shinyanga Region form the eastern border of Geita Region.
The region is surrounded by Tabora Region and Kigoma Region to the south and west, respectively. Finally, Gieta borders the Kagera Region to the west.
According to the 2022 national census, the region’s population was 2,977,608.
