Towns and Villages in Western Zone

The Western Zone is located in Ethiopia’s Tigray Region. It is divided into three woredas (districts), from north to south: Kafta Humera, Welkait, and Tsegede. Humera is the largest town.

According to the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia’s (CSA) 2007 Census, this Zone has a total population of 356,598, with 182,571 men and 174,027 women; 71,823 people, or 20.14%, live in cities.
