Badagry is a Local Government Area on Lagos State’s Atlantic coast, on the north bank of Porto Novo Creek near 6.42°N, 2.88°E. The 2006 census counted 237,731 people; citypopulation.de projects 351,900 for 2022.
The LGA runs along the Lagos–Seme road toward the Republic of Benin border, 69 km west of Lagos Island. Its postal code is 103101, and Hon. Babatunde Adande Hunpe chairs the local government as of 2026.
