Enugu North Towns And Villages

Enugu North is one of three Local Government Areas that make up Enugu city, the capital of Enugu State. Its offices sit on Okpara Avenue. The 2006 census counted 242,140 residents across 106 square kilometres; a 2022 projection put the figure near 347,500.

Enugu North has no farming villages of its own; it is the administrative and commercial core of Enugu city. Its list below covers the wards, layouts and quarters that make up the LGA, including Asata, GRA, Ogui, Ogbete, China Town and New Haven. Dr. Ibenaku Harford Onoh chairs the local government as of 2026.

The list was checked against Enugu North’s 13 wards in the 2015 INEC Polling Unit Directory and the GRID3 national settlement layer, and cross-checked against neighbouring Enugu East and Enugu South to avoid double-counting shared city districts:
