Greenbrier County is a county in West Virginia, United States, about 100 miles southeast of Charleston along Interstate 64. It had a population of 32,977 at the 2020 census, an estimated 31,578 by 2025, and covers 1,025 square miles (2,650 km2) centred near 37\u00b057\u2032N 80\u00b028\u2032W. Only one West Virginia county, Randolph, has more land.<\/p>\n

Two entries need care. Alderson straddles the Greenbrier River into Monroe County, so its 971 residents split between the two counties, and its post office is administered from the Monroe side. Falling Spring is the town’s legal name, but its post office and most maps use the name Renick — both refer to the same place on US 219 in the county’s north.<\/p>\n

Beyond the incorporated places, the county has a dense scatter of unincorporated communities. Eleven keep their own post offices: Asbury, Caldwell, Charmco, Crawley, Frankford, Grassy Meadows, Leslie, Maxwelton, Renick, Smoot and Williamsburg.
