New Kent County is a county in Virginia, United States, in the eastern part of the state between Richmond and the Middle Peninsula. It had a population of 22,945 at the 2020 census and covers 222 square miles (570 km2), of which 210 square miles (540 km2) is land, centred near 37\u00b031\u2032N 77\u00b000\u2032W.<\/p>\n

New Kent is the county seat, and its postal code is 23124. The county has one unincorporated village recognized as its historic seat, several census-designated places, and a scatter of rural crossroads communities; it observes Eastern Time.<\/p>\n
