Chesterfield County is a county in Virginia, United States, directly south of Richmond across
\nthe James River. It had a population of 364,548 at the 2020 census, an estimated 397,148 by 2025,
\nand covers 437 square miles (1,130 km2) centred near 37\u00b023\u2032N 77\u00b035\u2032W.<\/p>\n

Chesterfield Court House is the county seat; its postal code is 23832. The county has no
\nincorporated towns or cities of its own — every named place on this list is a
\ncensus-designated place or an unincorporated community, and Chesterfield County government
\nserves all of them directly. The county holds 13 census-designated places plus the historic
