Wasatch County is a county in Utah, United States, about 43 miles southeast of Salt Lake City in the Heber Valley. It had a population of 34,788 at the 2020 census, an estimated 38,514 by 2025, and covers 1,206 square miles (3,120 km2) centred near 40°20′N 111°10′W.<\/p>\n

Several names on the county’s older place lists don’t hold up. Keetley, Hailstone and the original Jordanelle townsite were flooded when Jordanelle Dam closed in 1993 — none is an inhabited place today. Mound City was an early Heber Valley settlement name that merged into Midway during the 1860s and isn’t a separate place now. Three Forks, sometimes listed as a Wasatch County locality, is actually a populated place across the county line in Utah County.<\/p>\n
