Morgan County is a county in Utah, United States, tucked into the mountains and canyons east of Ogden along the Weber River. It had a population of 12,295 at the 2020 census and covers 611 square miles (1,580 km2), of which 609 square miles is land, centred near 41\u00b005\u2032N 111\u00b035\u2032W.<\/p>\n

Morgan is the county seat and the only incorporated city; its postal code is 84050. The county holds one incorporated city, one census-designated place, and roughly a dozen unincorporated communities. Morgan County observes Mountain time and has no civil townships.<\/p>\n

Devils Slide is a former company town built around a Union Pacific cement plant, named for a matching pair of rock ridges on the canyon wall above it; the plant closed in the 2010s. Mountain Green, the county’s only CDP, sits at the mouth of Weber Canyon closer to Ogden than to Morgan and functions as a separate commuter community with its own commercial strip along Old Highway Road.<\/p>\n
