Moore County is a county in Texas, United States, on the Panhandle plains north of Amarillo. It had a population of 21,358 at the 2020 census and covers 910 square miles (2,400 km2), of which 9.9 square miles (26 km2) is water, centred near 35\u00b050\u2032N 101\u00b053\u2032W.<\/p>\n

Dumas is the county seat, and its postal code is 79029. The county has three incorporated cities and several unincorporated communities scattered across the wheat, cattle and natural-gas country of the plains. Moore County sits in the Central time zone.<\/p>\n
