Loudon County is a county in Tennessee, United States, on the Tennessee River between Knoxville and Chattanooga. It had a population of 54,886 at the 2020 census and covers 247 square miles (640 km2), of which 229 square miles (590 km2) is land and 18 square miles (47 km2) is water, centred near 35°44′N 84°19′W.<\/p>\n

Loudon is the county seat and its postal code is 37774. The county has four incorporated cities, part of one incorporated town, two census-designated places, and a scatter of unincorporated communities and residential subdivisions. It sits in the Eastern time zone and carries FIPS code 47105.<\/p>\n

Farragut is a Knox County town whose western edge crosses into Loudon County, so only a slice of it counts toward the county’s population. Rarity Bay straddles the Loudon–Monroe county line on the shore of Tellico Lake; most of its parcels sit in Monroe County. Loudon City Park, a small riverside green space inside the city of Loudon, is dropped from the table as a duplicate of the city entry rather than a separate place.<\/p>\n
