Fayette County is a county in Tennessee, United States, on the Mississippi state line east of Memphis. It had a population of 41,990 at the 2020 census and covers 705 square miles (1,826 km2) of land, centred near 35\u00b011\u2032N 89\u00b025\u2032W.<\/p>\n

Somerville is the county seat, and its postal code is 38068. The county has nine incorporated towns and cities, several unincorporated communities, and lies in the Central time zone. Its FIPS code is 47047.<\/p>\n
