Cumberland County is a county in Pennsylvania, United States, on the west bank of the Susquehanna River opposite Harrisburg, in the south-central part of the state. It had a population of 259,469 at the 2020 census and covers 545 square miles (1,410 km2) of land, centred near 40\u00b010\u2032N 77\u00b016\u2032W.<\/p>\n

Carlisle is the county seat and its postal code is 17013. The county has 11 boroughs, 22 townships, and a number of unincorporated communities and census-designated places, and it lies in the Eastern time zone. Its FIPS county code is 42041.<\/p>\n
