Douglas County is a county in Oregon, United States, stretching from the Pacific coast east across the Coast Range and the Umpqua Valley to the crest of the Cascades. It had a population of 111,201 at the 2020 census, an estimated 111,951 by 2025, and covers 5,134 square miles (13,300 km2) centred near 43\u00b017\u2032N 123\u00b011\u2032W.<\/p>\n

Roseburg is the county seat; its postal code is 97470. The county holds 12 incorporated cities, 11 census-designated places and 32 further unincorporated communities, and it runs on Pacific Time. Its FIPS code is 41019. Oregon has no civil townships, so places here are organised by city and community only, not by township.<\/p>\n

Two names are easy to confuse. Tri-City, a single hyphenated CDP northwest of Myrtle Creek, is sometimes written as two words, “Tri City,” in older references — both point to the same place. Roseburg North is a separate CDP covering the area just outside the city of Roseburg’s limits, not a neighborhood inside the city itself.<\/p>\n

Beyond those 23, Douglas County recognizes 32 further unincorporated place names with no CDP status and no population figure of their own: Anlauf, Ash, Azalea, Brockway, Camas Valley, Clearwater, Cleveland, Curtin, Diamond Lake, Dixonville, Drew, Edenbower, Elkhead, Idleyld Park, Kellogg, Leona, Milo, Nonpareil, Peel, Rice Hill, Round Prairie, Scottsburg, Shady, Steamboat, Sulphur Springs, Tenmile, Tiller, Tyee, Umpqua, Union Gap, Wilbur and Winchester. Diamond Lake, the best known of these, is a resort community on the lake of the same name near the Cascade crest, not a Census-counted place.<\/p>\n
