Lucas County is a county in Ohio, United States, on the western shore of Lake Erie at the mouth of the Maumee River. It had a population of 431,279 at the 2020 census, the sixth-most populous county in the state, and covers 596 square miles (1,544 km2), of which 341 square miles is land and 255 square miles is open water, centred near 41\u00b041\u2032N 83\u00b030\u2032W.<\/p>\n

Toledo is the county seat and largest city, and its postal code is 43604. The county holds 5 cities, 6 villages and a handful of unincorporated communities spread across 12 civil townships. Lucas County sits in the Eastern Time Zone and carries FIPS code 39095.<\/p>\n
