Pembina County is a county in North Dakota, United States, in the northeastern corner of the state along the Canadian border. It had a population of 6,844 at the 2020 census and covers 1,121 square miles (2,900 km2), of which 1,119 square miles is land and 2.7 square miles is water, centred near 48\u00b046\u203201\u2033N 97\u00b032\u203243\u2033W.<\/p>\n

Cavalier is the county seat, and its postal code is 58220. The county has eleven incorporated cities, five recognized unincorporated communities, and two former townsites now counted as ghost towns. Pembina County runs on Central Time and covers roughly 30 organized civil townships.<\/p>\n

Canton City is the incorporated name on record for the community that most locals still call Hensel; the table lists both to match local usage.
