Craven County is a county in North Carolina, United States, on the coastal plain where the Neuse and Trent rivers meet, in the east-central part of the state. It had a population of 100,720 at the 2020 census and covers 773 square miles (2,003 km2), of which 707 square miles (1,831 km2) are land, centred near 35\u00b007\u2032N 77\u00b005\u2032W.<\/p>\n

New Bern is the county seat, and its postal code is 28560. The county has two cities, six incorporated towns, five census-designated places, and several unincorporated communities. Craven County is in the Eastern time zone, and its FIPS code is 37049.<\/p>\n
