Tallahatchie County is a county in Mississippi, United States, in the heart of the Mississippi Delta. It had a population of 12,715 at the 2020 census and covers 652 square miles (1,690 km2), of which 645 square miles are land, centred near 33\u00b057\u2032N 90\u00b010\u2032W.<\/p>\n

Charleston and Sumner are joint county seats; Charleston’s postal code is 38921. The county has one city, three towns, one village and roughly two dozen unincorporated communities, no civil townships, and sits in the Central time zone (FIPS code 28135).<\/p>\n
