Marion County is a county in Mississippi, United States, on the Pearl River in the south-central part of the state near the Louisiana state line. It had a population of 24,441 at the 2020 census and covers 549 square miles (1,420 km2), of which 542 square miles (1,400 km2) is land and 6.2 square miles (16 km2) is water, centred near 31\u00b014\u2032N 89\u00b049\u2032W.<\/p>\n
