Lamar County is a county in Mississippi, United States, on the western edge of the Hattiesburg metropolitan area. It had a population of 64,222 at the 2020 census and covers 500 square miles (1,300 km2), of which 497 square miles (1,290 km2) is land, centred near 31\u00b013\u2032N 89\u00b031\u2032W.<\/p>\n
