Issaquena County is a county in Mississippi, United States, bordered by the Mississippi River along its entire western edge in the Delta region. It had a population of 1,338 people at the 2020 census and covers 441 square miles (1,140 km2), of which 413 square miles is land and 28 square miles is water, centred near 32\u00b044\u2032N 90\u00b059\u2032W.<\/p>\n

Mayersville is the county seat, and its postal code is 39113. The county has one incorporated town, two census-designated places, and a handful of small unincorporated and historic river-landing communities. Issaquena County lies in the Central time zone.<\/p>\n

Magna Vista is also recorded as one of the county’s several vanished river-port settlements, alongside Arcadia, Baleshed, Ben Lomond, Duncansby, Shiloh, and Skipwith’s Landing \u2014 names that survive on maps and in county histories but carry no population today.<\/p>\n
