Steele County is a county in Minnesota, United States, in the south-central part of the state along Interstate 35. It had a population of 37,406 at the 2020 census and covers 430 square miles (1,100 km2) of land centred near 44°01′N 93°13′W.<\/p>\n

Owatonna is the county seat, and its postal code is 55060. The county has four incorporated cities, thirteen civil townships, and a scatter of unincorporated communities. It sits in the Central time zone and carries FIPS county code 27147.<\/p>\n
