Pima County is a county in Arizona, United States, along the international border with Mexico in the southern part of the state. It had a population of 1,043,433 at the 2020 census and covers 9,189 square miles (23,800 km2) centred near 32°03′N 111°49′W.<\/p>\n
Tucson is the county seat, and its postal code is 85701. The county has 2 cities, 3 towns, and dozens of unincorporated communities and census-designated places (CDPs), including several within the Tohono O’odham Nation. Pima County runs on Mountain time and does not observe daylight saving.<\/p>\n
Tucson dominates the county both in population and land area of built-up settlement, with a ring of CDPs — Casas Adobes, Catalina Foothills, Drexel Heights, Flowing Wells — effectively forming its suburbs without their own city governments.
