Livingston County is a county in Michigan, United States, roughly midway between Lansing and Detroit along the Interstate 96 corridor. It had a population of 193,866 at the 2020 census and covers 585 square miles (1,515 km2), of which 565 square miles are land and 20 square miles are water, centred near 42\u00b036\u2032N 83\u00b055\u2032W.<\/p>\n

Howell is the county seat, and its postal code is 48843. The county has three cities, two villages, three charter townships and thirteen civil townships. Livingston County is part of the Detroit–Warren–Dearborn metropolitan statistical area and observes Eastern Time.<\/p>\n
