Kent County is a county in Maryland, United States, on the Upper Eastern Shore between the Chesapeake Bay and the Delaware line. It had a population of 19,198 at the 2020 census and covers 413 square miles (1,070 km2) — 277 square miles of land and 136 square miles of water — centred near 39°14′N 76°06′W.<\/p>\n
Chestertown is the county seat, and its postal code is 21620. The county has five incorporated towns and well over a hundred unincorporated communities, landings and subdivisions strung along the tidal creeks of the Chester and Sassafras rivers. Kent County keeps Eastern time (UTC−5, UTC−4 during daylight saving).<\/p>\n
