Boone County is a county in Kentucky, United States, on the Ohio River at the northern tip of the state, across from Cincinnati. It had a population of 135,968 at the 2020 census and covers 256 square miles (663 km2) centred near 38°58′N 84°44′W.<\/p>\n

Burlington is the county seat, and its postal code is 41005. The county has three incorporated cities, eight census-designated places and several smaller unincorporated communities. Kentucky has no civil townships, so the county is governed directly by a fiscal court under a County Judge\/Executive. Boone County is in the Eastern time zone.<\/p>\n
