Sedgwick County is a county in Kansas, United States, centred on Wichita in the south-central part of the state. It had a population of 523,824 at the 2020 census, making it the second-most populous county in Kansas, and covers 1,009 square miles (2,610 km2) — 998 square miles of land and 12 square miles of water — centred near 37°43′N 97°27′W.<\/p>\n

Wichita is the county seat, and its downtown postal code is 67202. The county contains 20 incorporated cities, two census-designated places and several unincorporated communities. Sedgwick County sits in the Central time zone.<\/p>\n
