Jackson County is a county in Kansas, United States, in the northeastern part of the state, roughly 25 miles north of Topeka. It had a population of 13,232 at the 2020 census and covers 658 square miles (1,700 km2) centred near 39°28′N 95°44′W.<\/p>\n

Holton is the county seat and its postal code is 66436. The county has nine incorporated cities, two unincorporated communities, and fifteen townships. Jackson County is in the Central time zone.<\/p>\n
