Harvey County is a county in Kansas, United States, on the plains north of Wichita along the Little Arkansas River. It had a population of 34,024 at the 2020 census and covers 541 square miles (1,400 km2), of which 540 square miles are land and 1.0 square mile (2.6 km2) is water, centred near 38°03′N 97°26′W.<\/p>\n

Newton is the county seat and its postal code is 67114. The county has seven incorporated cities, several unincorporated communities and a handful of former townsite ghost towns, spread across 15 civil townships. Harvey County lies in the Central time zone.<\/p>\n
