Decatur County is a county in Iowa, United States, on the Missouri border, in the south-central part of the state. It had a population of 7,645 at the 2020 census and covers 533 square miles (1,380 km2) centred near 40°44′29″N 93°46′51″W.<\/p>\n

Leon is the county seat, and its postal code is 50144. The county has ten incorporated cities, five recognized unincorporated communities, and 16 civil townships. It observes Central Time.<\/p>\n
