Benton County is a county in Iowa, United States, in the east-central part of the state along the Cedar River. It had a population of 25,575 at the 2020 census and covers 718 square miles (1,860 km2) centred near 42°05′N 92°04′W.<\/p>\n

Vinton is the county seat and largest city, and its postal code is 52349. Benton County has 14 incorporated cities, one census-designated place, and seven unincorporated communities, grouped into 20 civil townships. The county sits in the Central time zone and forms part of the Cedar Rapids metropolitan statistical area.<\/p>\n
