Marshall County is a county in Illinois, United States, split by the Illinois River in the north-central part of the state. It had a population of 11,742 at the 2020 census and covers 399 square miles (1,033 km2), centred near 41\u00b002\u2032N 89\u00b020\u2032W.<\/p>\n

Lacon is the county seat; its postal code is 61540. The county has four cities, five villages and several unincorporated communities, grouped into 12 civil townships. Marshall County sits in the Central time zone.<\/p>\n
