Lincoln County is a county in Idaho, United States, on the plains of the Snake River in the south-central part of the state. It had a population of 5,127 at the 2020 census and covers 1,206 square miles (3,122 km2) centred near 42°59′N 114°08′W.<\/p>\n

Shoshone is the county seat, and its postal code is 83352. The county has three incorporated cities (Dietrich, Richfield, Shoshone) plus several small unincorporated communities. Lincoln County has no civil townships. It sits in the Mountain time zone, and part of Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve lies within its borders.<\/p>\n

Besslen, Burmah, Marley, Owinza, Pagari and Tunupa are old railroad-siding names strung along the Union Pacific line between Shoshone and Minidoka County; none has a post office today, so mail for that stretch of the county routes through Shoshone.<\/p>\n
