Gem County is a county in Idaho, United States, in the southwestern part of the state along the Payette River. It had a population of 19,123 at the 2020 census and covers 561 square miles (1,450 km2) of land, centred near 44°04′N 116°25′W.<\/p>\n

Emmett is the county seat, and its postal code is 83617. The county has one incorporated city, one census-designated place, and several unincorporated communities. Gem County observes Mountain Time and does not use civil townships.<\/p>\n
