Montgomery County is a county in Georgia, United States, roughly midway between Macon and Savannah in the southeastern part of the state. It had a population of 8,610 at the 2020 census and covers 245 square miles (630 km2), of which 240 square miles are land and 5.2 square miles are water, centred near 32°10′N 82°32′W.<\/p>\n

Mount Vernon is the county seat, and its postal code is 30445. The county has three incorporated cities, three incorporated towns, and several unincorporated communities. It sits in the Eastern time zone.<\/p>\n
