Mitchell County is a county in Georgia, United States, on the state’s Coastal Plain in the southwestern part of the state. It had a population of 21,755 at the 2020 census and covers 514 square miles (1,330 km2) centred near 31\u00b013\u2032N 84\u00b011\u2032W.<\/p>\n

Camilla is the county seat, and its postal code is 31730. The county holds five incorporated cities and towns and about a dozen smaller unincorporated communities, all in the Eastern time zone.<\/p>\n

Mitchell County has five incorporated municipalities — Camilla, Baconton, Pelham and Sale City sit entirely within the county, while Meigs straddles the line with Thomas County.
