Irwin County is a county in Georgia, United States, in the south-central part of the state along the Alapaha River. It had a population of 9,666 at the 2020 census and covers 363 square miles (940 km2) centred near 31°36′N 83°16′W.<\/p>\n

Ocilla is the county seat, and its postal code is 31774. The county has one incorporated city and about a dozen unincorporated communities, no civil townships, and sits in the Eastern time zone.<\/p>\n
