Wakulla County is a county in Florida, United States, in the Big Bend region south of Tallahassee. It had a population of 33,764 at the 2020 census and covers 736 square miles (1,910 km2), of which 606 square miles (1,570 km2) are land, centred near 30°09′N 84°23′W.<\/p>\n

Crawfordville is the county seat, and its postal code is 32327. The county has two incorporated municipalities (Sopchoppy and St. Marks), one large unincorporated seat (Crawfordville), and about a dozen smaller unincorporated communities. It sits in the Eastern time zone and is part of the Tallahassee metropolitan area.<\/p>\n

Shell Point, on the Gulf coast southwest of Crawfordville, is sometimes confused with the unrelated Shell Point community in Franklin County to the west — the two are separated by St. Marks River and the Apalachicola National Forest.<\/p>\n
