Glades County is a county in Florida, United States, on the northwest shore of Lake Okeechobee. It had a population of 12,126 at the 2020 census and covers 987 square miles (2,560 km2), of which 806 square miles are land, centred near 26\u00b057\u2032N 81\u00b011\u2032W.<\/p>\n

Moore Haven is the county seat, and its postal code is 33471. The county has one incorporated city (Moore Haven), one census-designated place (Buckhead Ridge), and several unincorporated communities, including a small share of the Brighton Seminole Indian Reservation. Glades County observes Eastern time.<\/p>\n

Only Moore Haven is incorporated; everywhere else in the county is unincorporated territory or the Buckhead Ridge CDP.
