Mora County is a county in the U.S. state of New Mexico. Its name in Spanish is Condado de Mora.
As of the census in 2020, there were 4,189 people living there.Mora, a census-designated place (CDP), is the county seat.
The county has another CDP called Watrous, a village called Waggon Mound, and 12 smaller towns that are not part of any city or town.
The US Census Bureau says that the county has a total area of 1,934 square miles (5,010 km2), of which 1,931 square miles (5,000 km2) are land and 2.3 square miles (6.0 km2) (0.1%) are water.
The top of Truchas Peak, which is 13,102 feet or 3,993 metres above sea level, is the highest point in the county.
