Moody County is a county in the United States. It is in the state of South Dakota.

Flandreau is the county seat.

On the east side of South Dakota is where Moody County is.
Its eastern border touches the western border of the state of Minnesota. In the middle of the county, the Big Sioux River flows south.
Its landscape is made up of rolling hills that are used for farming and lakes in the west.
The land slopes to the south, with the highest point at 1,749 ft (533 m) ASL in the northeast corner. The east and west sides also slope into the river valley that runs through the middle of the county.
The county covers a total area of 521 square miles (1,350 km2), of which 519 square miles (1,340 km2) are land and 1.4 square miles (3.6 km2) (0.3%) are water.
