Del Norte County, whose name means “of the north” in Spanish, is in the far northwest corner of the U.S. state of California, along the Pacific Ocean and the border with Oregon.
As of the 2020 census, there are 27,743 people living there.
In 2010, there were 28,610 people living there. Crescent City is the only city in the county. It is also the county seat.
