Dade County is a county in Georgia, United States.

It is located in the northwest corner of Georgia, and the county’s northwest corner is the state’s westernmost point.

Trenton is the county seat and the county’s only incorporated municipality.

Dade County is included in the Chattanooga, TN-GA Combined Statistical Area.

Dade County was founded in 1837 and named after Major Francis Langhorne Dade, who was murdered by Seminole Indians in the Dade Massacre in December 1835.

The county has a total area of 174 square miles (450 km2), of which 174 square miles (450 km2) is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2) (0.1%) is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
