Bossier Parish (French: Paroisse de Bossier) is a parish in the northwest corner of the United States state of Louisiana.
The population was 128,746 according to the 2020 census.
Benton is the parish seat.
The main city is Bossier City, which is east of the Red River and directly across from Shreveport, the seat of Caddo Parish.
The parish was formed in 1843 by combining the western half of Claiborne Parish.
Bossier Parish is included in the Shreveport-Bossier City metropolitan statistical area, which is the largest in North Louisiana.
The parish has a total area of 867 square miles (2,250 km2), of which 840 square miles (2,200 km2) is land and 27 square miles (70 km2) (3.1%) is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
Barksdale Air Force Base is four miles east of Bossier City.
