Bosque County is a county in the Waco area. It is pronounced /bski/ BOS-kee.
In the U.S. state of Texas, the county is just northwest of Waco.
As of the census in 2020, there were 18,235 people living there.
Meridian is the county seat, but Clifton is the biggest city and the cultural and economic centre of the county.
The Bosque River, which runs through the middle of the county from north to south, gives the county its name.
The eastern border is made up of the Brazos River and the lake it feeds, Lake Whitney.
The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county has a total area of 1,003 sq mi (2,600 km2), of which 983 sq mi (2,550 km2) are land and 20 sq mi (52 km2) (2%) are water.
