Towns and Villages in Borena Zone

Borena (Oromo: Boorana) is a zone in Ethiopia’s Oromia Region. Borena is called after one of Oromo’s two primary subgroups.

According to the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia’s (CSA) 2007 Census, this Zone has a total population of 962,489, with 487,024 men and 475,465 women; Borena has a population density of 21.18 people per square kilometer and covers 45,434.97 square kilometers.
